In the beginning of the semester, I learned about various design principles that are used when creating ads, commercials, resumes… pretty much anything! To test my understanding of these design principles, I was asked to draw each one (leftmost picture). Here I have included the design principle radial balance, which is balance that is based on a circle. In my example, the balance is based around the sun.
Later on in the semester, I was asked to recreate one of my sketched design principles in Adobe Illustrator (rightmost picture). I enjoyed learning about Adobe Illustrator through this assignment and loved the challenge of transferring my 2D image to a digital image.
